It’s no secret that there are a lot of mysteries about the real estate process for the average consumer. After all, plenty of people only engage with it once or twice in their life, making it an exotic and confusing endeavor. The other thing that’s common to plenty of consumers is that asking questions itself can be intimidating, if they even know the right questions to ask. That’s why you can preempt the most common concerns your clients have by offering detailed support documentation that’s ready at your fingertips. When you seem equipped to do the deal and can show clients that this isn’t your first rodeo, you go that much further towards developing trust and confidence. Â
Making a Fine FAQ
We here at CRMLS love ourselves an FAQ. Our Knowledgebase is full of articles that go into all the ways our users can make the most of our services. But how do we at CRMLS decide what to include in an FAQ, you may frequently ask? Because we spend a lot of time, whether through presentations, trainings, or webinars, hearing from agents and brokers and learning what needs to be addressed. You can do the same for consumers based on your experience talking to clients and understanding what’s important. Yes, this includes the basics of a real estate transaction, but you can hone in on more specific aspects of your market. Do clients often come to you asking about buying a house on that nearby lake, or in that particular school zone, or within that exact HOA? Anticipate the questions and flaunt your expertise.Â

From the Desk of CMO Nicole Aguilar
The personal thoughts of CRMLS’s Chief Marketing Officer
Consumers aren’t real estate experts. That’s why they rely on you. Anticipating their questions and addressing their concerns builds trust, strengthens relationships, and demonstrates the value of your expertise. Don’t just market the home. Market the expert behind it.Â
Data to Back You Up
Of course, you can tout your expertise, but sometimes people want to see the numbers. That’s why we offer REALTORS Property Resource®, or RPR, as a no-cost way to source property information without digging through a tone of raw data. Collect information about how competitive the market is, local residential sales trends, and more that can support your knowledge of your region. In addition, RPR can also generate client-facing materials like CMAs so you can give easy-to-read and informative documentation. Answering the evergreen FAQs is one thing, but with how much home values can change, it’s important to have up-to-date data at the ready. Â
