CRMLS To Launch Perchwell by Q1 2023
CRMLS has partnered with Perchwell, the company behind the premier data and workflow technology platform in residential real estate, and completed an agreement to bring Perchwell’s flagship MLS platform (which includes both a front-end and back-end system) to CRMLS users, targeting a launch by the first quarter of 2023. The Perchwell platform simplifies day-to-day MLS workflows for real estate professionals. Perchwell also supports interoperability and integration among other industry technology products through its API. In contrast to the industry’s legacy offerings, Perchwell is an end-to-end workflow solution with web and mobile apps powering agents’ core workflows, including listing syndication, searching, analyzing the market, and collaborating with clients.
Among Perchwell’s standout features is the user’s experience from the moment they sign in. Perchwell presents users with listing results on the first screen, helping them filter their searches without needing to arrange their search criteria to fit fields first.

CRMLS selects Black Knight’s industry-leading public records property data
CRMLS has signed a contract to license property data from Black Knight. We will soon have more access to California public records data, including comprehensive information from tax assessor, deed, mortgage, pre-foreclosure, foreclosure, and assignment and release records. Gaining this information means we can build unique new data and analytics solutions, empowering brokers like you with cost-effective access to critical property intelligence. Read Black Knight’s press release for more.
Share the CRMLS Compliance Quiz with your office
We recently launched a new CRMLS Compliance Quiz:
The quiz is short, optional, and anonymous. It will be helpful in educating agents about common rules violations, saving you time, money, and stress. We encourage you to share it with your office. We want them to learn common rules and pitfalls here, not through a violation notice.
Important Broker Resources
Brokers and managers can jump ahead of the wait time for MLS assistance by calling our Broker Support Line at 909-859-2043.
Please note, you must identify yourself by your broker or broker/office assistant MLS ID, as not all user classes have access to this service. For a list of MLS user classes that can access the Broker Helpline, see the last column of our User Classes document.

Member Experience Tip of the Month: New Construction Listings in Coming Soon Status
If you have a New Construction Listing (NCL) and the property is ready to market, but not ready for showings, use the Coming Soon status!
The Coming Soon status ordinarily allows a listing to remain Coming Soon for up to 21 days. On the Start Marketing date or the 21st day, whichever comes first, the system automatically updates the listing’s status to Active.
New Construction Listings (NCLs) are the exception to the 21-day rule. According to CRMLS Rule 7.18.4e, an NCL may remain in the Coming Soon status until a certificate of occupancy is issued – even if that process takes longer than 21 days.
Flex NCL instructions:
- In the Main Fields section, scroll down to Status and select Coming Soon
- In the Start Showing Date field, enter the Start Showing Date (beyond 21 days if necessary)
- Scroll down to New Construction and select Yes.
Matrix
- Coming Soon: OneHome will be turning on branding and simplifying the consumer password. Please look out for an email from CRMLS with additional information.
- Omni MLS is now available in your External Links section.
- New Matrix fixes arrived on June 7. Key fixes include Auto Email functions and updated displays. You can read the full list of updates in our Knowledgebase article.

How to work with listing cancellation restrictions in Paragon
As of May 25, 2021, a rule restricts canceling a listing to Office Managers and Brokers only. Find instructions to cancel a listing in our Knowledgebase.
You can also use the Assume Identity feature to accomplish this. Brokers can designate office admin or staff to assume identity. Assume Identity is a way for you as an agent or broker to allow a licensed or unlicensed assistant to log into CRMLS Paragon under their own unique login and then “Assume the Identity” of the agent or broker they are working for.
Under your login, only you can manipulate your listings. When your assistant logs into Paragon and assumes your identity, there will be a “paper trail” that shows the assistant is logged in under their unique username and password. The “paper trail” will show that, with your permission, the assistant has assumed your identity and made changes to your listings.
Brokers/agents/assistants must belong to the same office and Association/Board of REALTORS® to assume IDs. View our step-by-step guide to give permission to Assume your Identity.
Here is a guide to issues that have been recently resolved and are currently in progress:
- IN PROGRESS: We’re working to ensure Coming Soon to Active shows as New (with vendor).
- IN PROGRESS: Addition of a Change Type for Coming Soon so that it can have its own category on Hotsheets and MarketWatch (with vendor).
- IN PROGRESS: Cleanup of City List (being finalized).
