It’s been said before, but we’ll say it again; 2024 was a revolutionary year for the real estate industry. The ripple effects from the commissions lawsuits and NAR’s settlements have been felt everywhere. Associations, brokers, and agents have all been busy adapting to the (occasionally confusing) new circumstances. CRMLS was doing all it could to respond in timely and informative matters about how to conduct business in the new world. But now, as we’ve acclimated a bit more to the new way, we’re shifting our focus to being proactive so we can help our users understand how to display their undeniable worth to their clients.
Introducing CRMLS 2025: Value Redefined.
Value Redefined is our new effort to start 2025 off strong. We’re aiming to put the anxiety and uncertainty of the last year behind us and guide our users to even greater success. The inherent value real estate professionals bring to their clients’ buying or selling journeys is still there, but now it’s time to reconfigure how we convey that value. We’re in it to benefit the consumer and create a better market, one that helps all participants to thrive.
CRMLS has adapted with the times and is now refocusing our priorities and core tenets. That’s why, in order to best support our users and be equitable with consumers, we’re laying out clear statements of our values and intent. Let’s break them down one by one.
FOCUSED TRANSPARENCY: No secrets, no withholding information, no tricks. We value being clear and concise with our users and consumers.
BROKER-FIRST PHILOSOPHY: The MLS is a broker collective and thrives along with its brokerage community. We do everything we can to guide our brokerages and provide what they need.
USER-ORIENTED MINDSET: Every agent has the power to help themselves with help from CRMLS. Our products, support services, and education team are there to enhance their experience.
PROACTIVE VISION: With the old ways of doing things behind us, it’s time to look towards tomorrow. We can help build a better industry with our foresight and novel solutions.
In addition, we have an informal saying around CRMLS when it comes to how to adapt to the recent challenges presented to all of us – it’s different, but not difficult. We all still participate in creating a fair market that allows for brokerages both big and small to succeed on their own terms. Yes, an agent may need to learn a thing or two to stay current, but just because the homework has changed doesn’t mean that the inherent knowledge has, too. This isn’t about changing the role of an agent; this is about making sure the value an agent already has is well broadcast in these new circumstances.
And so, 2025 begins with CRMLS offering a renewed and reimagined pledge of support to our users. You’ll be seeing Value Redefined pop up throughout the year as the campaign continues to roll out. Even if the old ways of doing things are done, we still have a say in how our future shapes up. Let’s bring our intrinsic value to the industry and build what we want to see.
We’re excited to show you what we have to offer and help enhance what you offer your clients as well. Cheers to the new year.
